Recently I became aware of a report from Baylor University from 2017 focusing on homelessness. One of their findings in their report had this thought-provoking comment:
“People don’t become homeless when they run out of money, at least not right away. They become homeless when they run out of relationships”.
I know that the topic of homelessness can be complex and there are many stories and reasons for different cases. However, I do believe that in many situations there could be a strong correlation to “running out of relationships” as the Baylor study mentions.
So, thinking about that, if you take that concept and apply it to business, I believe you could find a similar correlation.
Organizations don't fail when they run out of money, at least not right away. They fail when they run out of relationships.
Businesses, organizations, or even projects tend to fail when the relationships of the parties involved either fail or no longer exist. Budget issues can often be accounted for and mitigated. So, advice I give myself is to make sure that the relationships involved receive the proper attention instead of primarily focusing on the financial aspect.
Relationships are important especially in the Robotic Process Automation market. A large RPA project typically requires interactions with various disparate systems requiring cooperation and communication between the users, corporate IT staff, and the vendor or RPA developer. Even small RPA projects require communication between the stakeholders. Whenever a project starts to fail, I think that somewhere a relationship probably had a break down in the form of failure in communication or expectation setting. The strategy we employ at Our Pathways is to treat our customers as partners. In a partnership both parties need to benefit from the relationship, or it won’t be successful in the long run.
The partnership mentality begins during the sales process at Our Pathways. We will cooperatively work with you regarding budget and needs to determine the best licensing to ensure an achievable ROI. We provide subscription models for both license and support that will fit your budget.
For Our Pathways, another way we build lasting relationships is by displaying our capabilities based upon our years of experience in integration and automation. We always strive to provide accurate and honest assessments and updates. Our OPTimation platform was engineered according to how an RPA software bot operates because we have developed software bots and automations ourselves, in the field.
If you would like more information about RPA or the OPTimation platform and would like to start building a positive relationship, send an email with your request to info@ourpathways.com and visit our website at http://www.ourpathways.com.
